Scripture is very clear about the fact that Jesus loves kids! In Mark 10:14, He says, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." And then He takes in His arms and blesses all the little ones gathered around Him. We love kids, too, and have designed a variety of programs to help them know Jesus Christ personally, grow in their relationship with Him, discover what it means to serve Him, and share Him with others. BLAST (Birth-Grade 5) Resuming on Sunday, September 12 at 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. BLAST allows children to personally encounter God each week in a fun, interactive, and high-tech environment. It features age appropriate Bible teaching, small groups, music, crafts, and games, all led by gifted and caring adults. We value your kids at OBC! BLAST is available for children from birth through grade 5 during both services. Children from 0-2 years of age can be checked into the nursery on the main floor, and age 2 to grade 5 can be checked in upstairs. In the toddler and JK/SK rooms we keep it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God each month. We also help children understand worship and introduce them to small group time. It encourages children to talk to God any time at any place. We will also continue to engage grade 1 to 5 children with a high energy bible study and worship time. Each week they will hear a Bible story, learn a key verse and main point related to the Bible story, interact with other children through games and activities, use their Bibles to develop skills and personal Bible knowledge, and apply the content of the session to their lives. Each morning ends with a small group discussion around the topics and passages taught that day.
